Man, if his wife is as attractive as he is that’s gonna make for some great porn.

These stories pop up all over, even liberal states.

If you work in education having a side job as a sex worker is probably going to get you fired when it gets out, regardless of location.

True. Most people have enough sense not to get caught. But I’d also assume that he didn’t do it for money, per se, where the school teachers you normally hear about are.

Keep in mind this guy was administrative and ceremonial, not educational or academic. It’s unlikely many students knew him as anything more than a guy that gave lame speeches at stuff they were supposed to attend.

I personally think it’s an unethical reason to fire someone. But I think our culture still is very ashamed of sex work and I do understand how businesses and education administors would want to avoid the PR of having someone on staff that’s also a sex worker.

I don’t agree that it’s ethical. But I do understand the reasoning behind it.

              it depends on the job.

If one is the janitor, or a professor, whatever. If you’re literally the face of an organization (this guy), then this guy’s extracurricular activities being socially unacceptable (even if we’re puritanical prudes) impacts the reputation of that organization; and it’s a perfectly acceptable to swap out your representative for a fresh babyface when the old one turns.
