      Well if you learn to isolate on agar then grow it’s the last $100 you’ll ever spend. Spores in those are still good. After that it’s pennies on the ounce.

        Just order a grow box online.

        I won’t link anything but should be trivial to find a store which sends ready to grow boxes.

        In my experience they rarely get caught and because it’s not actually shrooms yet, they’re not even illegal everywhere.

        You wet the box and then place it in a large plastic bag that comes with it and rolls as a sort of tent on top of it. Then just open it every day spray a bit of water.

            Lemmy.world is weird about posting grow pics. Dig around to about the start of my post history for pics about how grows are done on a moderate scale.

            I get my strains from Denver Spore Company. (It’s googlable, again, not posting direct links cause .world is weird like that.)

            Honestly it depends so much on where you’re located that there’s not much point. Just google “headshop” “shroom grow box” etc. perhaps add “magic” if you’re having a hard time finding the right ones.

        What’s your city like? Where I am there’s stickers and signs everywhere for weed deliveries. They usually have shrooms too. I’m in Canada so it’s pretty casual here.

          Same in Germany in some larger cities. But even without deliveries asking a few weed plugs is probably the safest bet.

        Grow them yourself or learn to ID them and go hunting. I haven’t bought shrooms in over a decade and I take them once every year or 18 months. I picked what ended up being 4 dry ounces in one day some years back. I was giving away to anyone who asked. Psilocybin-containing mushrooms grow basically anywhere where there (pick two) cows, people, grass, pine trees, cultivated lawns, hardwood mulch, rhododendrons, azaleas and college/municipal grounds with tropical to temperate climates.

        You need to be extremely careful and ideally have a knowledgeable person help you until you really figure it out because there are mushrooms that will at best ruin your liver that look very similar to the ones you want in most of the places where the good ones grow. All Europe and the west coast Psilocybe cyanescens grows gregariously in big patches, sometimes intermixed with Galerina marginata, which will fuck you up in a death kind of way, not a fly to space kind of way. They look very similar, but are readily identifiable in the field. If you’re in the US south and anywhere near cows, you’re in luck - Psilocybe cubensis readily grows in cow patties and it’s damn near impossible to get a wrong ID given the circumstances.

        Depends on where your are. In California I but them at a vape/cigar shop. Dude sells them by the ⅛ next to the register and they’re always the bomb.

        Can’t hurt to ask hippie looking types, or just hit up local weird boutique stores, especially ones that sell weird stuff.

        I used to mail people shrooms across the country as well. In Minecraft.

      those are some rather large specimens- look at the container for size comparison. that’s easily $100 by way of a friendly deal from a pal who cultivates

      Depends on the strain and you. On average, between 1/4 gram and 1 gram dried for me to get a decent buzz, but if I want to visit another universe, +5 grams or so. (Warning: “breakthrough” doses are no joke. It’s full emersion and your visual cortex is kinda useless for a couple of hours. It’ll just nope-out in a geometric maze for a bit. For the inexperienced, this is also potential psychosis territory.)

      I don’t drink anymore, which was kinda the goal. There isn’t really a need for me to go high dosage anymore and haven’t in a year or more. Even my low altitude orbits are limited to once every other month or so now.

        Been there, done that, and I even was experienced. I say ~2.5g is a nice dose for me that goes beyond the warm giggly buzz of <1g without losing my mind (not in the fun way).

        Edit: I don’t want to scare anyone. I’m neurodivergent and was (am) on mental health drugs and should have known better than to take 5g.

        I did come down and was fine (but not before scaring some friends).

        Mindset and setting is important too. Had I been with another group I may have been okay.
