    More examples of the emperor being based:

    • he’s not a lolicon given that he didn’t go after the young consort
    • he wants to stop genital mutilation
    • looks like he’s the one lending his weight behind the progressive policies being rolled out

    I can’t help but think he is being set-up to be the final antagonist though, with a power struggle between him and Jinshi for the throne.
