This is a world event in Abu Dhabi, in a wave pool where the whole reading of the wave is not applicable anymore and they’re just cruising jet skis to get back and forth.
It just gives the feeling of having sailing competition where boats are allowed to have a motor to help upwind.

This has happened to every sport that’s gone professional. When there’s money involved, there’s mediocrity and debasement.
I’m not even a surfer and this made me mad. We need to stop letting the UAE host sports like this. Not only is it paid for with blood money, it’s completely inappropriate for their climate there
