I just keep the bag of dry food next to their bowls. Neither has ever tried to get into it, probably because it’s just easier to eat from their bowls that we ensure has plenty of dry food in it 24/7.
So, have you considered a large jar screw top jar?
Maybe even a bear-proof canister?
I’m hopping the answer is yes and that you share horror stories,
But then the octopus would be able to open the jar.
That cat ain’t look right. It’s a cain’t.
The look of no regrets
I keep my cat food bags inside an old pet carrier; its already designed for a cat to be unable to break through easily, and seeing as they associate it with the vet, they dont really want to go in there.
What an interesting looking cat.
I’m fairly confident that that cat is a Lykoi. It’s a very new breed of cat; they have guard hair, but no undercoat. So far, they’re believed to be a very hardy breed with no known health issues (unlike, say, Sphynx, which have a high rate of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy).
Kinda looks like a new born ape of some variety

Just let him have the food, you monster.
That cat made me physically gag.
