kurcatovium@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's some good music coming out of your country these days?English1·6 天前https://prvnihore1.bandcamp.cz/ Not that they’re well known here, but it’s very well put together crazy comedy music show.
https://snet.bandcamp.cz/ Some old school metal, played by young guys. Promising.
Knowing it or not, the result is the same, isn’t it?
kurcatovium@lemm.eeto Linux@lemmy.ml•Just wanted to show off the lowest end hardware I ever ran Linux onEnglish5·7 天前Up 'til 2022 or 2023 company I work for used Pentium 4 at POS PCs running ancient openSUSE. They would be still in service if it weren’t for leaking/swollen caps on most motherboards. Pure power wasn’t really there, but it was plenty enough to run that checkout software…

Does everything I need.

kurcatovium@lemm.eeto Linux@lemmy.ml•What is your most useful Linux app which others might not know about (please don't just give the name but a link and why it is good for you) ?English5·8 天前I tried logseq to manage my notes at work and it just didn’t click with me.
I ended up using QOwnNotes https://www.qownnotes.org/ which might be not as polished, but it is very easy to start with. I don’t need nor want cloud/sync, and since this ones notes are plain .md files in a folder, it’s easy to back up (or edit) externally when needed. I like it for what it does.
kurcatovium@lemm.eeto Linux@lemmy.ml•What is your most useful Linux app which others might not know about (please don't just give the name but a link and why it is good for you) ?English3·8 天前I know Strawberry, because I use it too. It’s a music player, forked from Clementine years ago. I find it the best for my use case, as it can handle library by tags, do folder view for separate locations, do tag editing, lyrics and art download, etc. Can highly recommend!

I’ve seen this one long time ago and only remember it was quite a sad movie.
kurcatovium@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is hockey a popular sport outside of North America?English5·9 天前I’d say it’s about equally as popular as football (soccer for 'muricans) in Czechia and Slovakia. Those two are basically two top sports here/there. And I believe it’s clear number one sport in Sweden and Finland. And Russia.
He has Octavia PHEV, which should have virtually the same system as early Enyaqs… And it’s really PITA, so much so, he’s about to sell it and buy Tesla, even though Elon is such a prick.
VW did really get “the car part” right, but man… my colleague bought Skoda and he’s more and more frustrated from the app and cars quirky systems. Just today the car refused to turn heating on, not remotely, not even when he was in car. The only option was to reset infotainment to factory settings. But then parking sensors stopped working… You can do bare minimum through the app remotely. Not counting that the app more often does NOT work at all rather than it does. “Car unreachable” etc. even when his phone and car are at the same wifi at home…
kurcatovium@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•For those who play games on a PC with 2 monitors, are you a game on the left screen or game on the right screen person?English2·10 天前I have this except it’s mirrored.
At work I have two landscape screens with right one being primary. This way I stretch my neck both sides a bit.

Wow, good to hear that!
Does Goodram really produce in Europe? I highly doubt that…
