Apply this protest over generational periods of time, we end up in a world with way more people from the population that didn’t choose to abstain from procreation. I don’t know that i have the patience to do that more than once per person, i end up analyzing their thought patterns to sus out the root cause of the failure to adapt to new thinking. This kind of thing might be based on family culture or inappropriately reinforced assumptions about basic concepts that did not got caught by earlier educators. I will explore their cultural and family backgrounds to figure out how assumptions from there affect these failures to adapt to more dynamic environments.

A new model can be planted over inappropriate beliefs for the context of the new environment (here at work, generalizing is not only okay but necessary), and then it has to be reinforced over many months to keep the previously dominant mindset from reverting and help them build comfort with the new way of thinking.

The great part about this is that people who learn the adaptations this way will naturally teach others with the same maladaptions, and much more effectively. The terrible part is that it is slow and tedious and almost always includes religion or trauma

I mean, the whole “startups are doing x” is really code for “venture dollars have been made available for entrepreneurs to explore x”. Startups these days are chasing fields which have investment dollars, so this means the rich are starting to invest in the tech a little more earnestly

I’m torn on how to approach this, i’m left with a couple of options:

A) so Trump would somehow be even less self defeating?

B) are you suggesting we should all spontaneously rise up and overthrow the military industrial complex?

C) if you think this world view is self defeating then:

C.1) you owe some clarifying thoughts as to how you see a measured response to the existing democratic systems as self defeating

C.2) you appear to be making yourself out as someone who idealizes violence and oppression

C.3) you appear to be using contrarian language with the explicit purpose of dragging down the mood of the conversation. Quit that shit

The history of christianity is littered with groups advocating and being persecuted for every imaginable interpretation of god, but the trinity folks really knew how to murder their way to top dog better than any other group

Not that it will have any immediate effect, but - if you wear the right skin and attitude - you can leverage your perceived position as being on the in group to sow seeds of doubt against the whole in-group/out-group thing. These people will bend over backwards to be perceived as worthy by the in group, which makes them highly fuck-with-able

I mean, if an entrepeneur owns a significant portion of the available houses in a region then they can chose to only keep the as few on the market at a time as possible to force the prices to stay high, they might even work with their other housing entrepreneur buddies to have them do the same thing so that all the housing entrepreneurs in the region can win big.

It would be safer if we were all riding the train/bus. Getting in a car in america is accepting the risk that you share the road with everyone. no matter the qualifications or mental state we still all gotta get to work/grocery store/wherever, and the only way is by ~4000 pound metal speed box.

Worrying about safety on the highway is about making sure you are in situations you can handle and react to, staying attentive to the styles and mental states of other drivers and being a step ahead of the road conditions

Religious groups are about the last active groups who can be swayed to actually do something about the state of the world, i don’t understand why we rail so hard against them. So what if we willfully subscribe to fantasy and fairy tail? Are you trying to say that we are weak for enjoying video games, role playing, good books and company?

I think we should invest in bringing back church on church ideological warfare. No more bitter an enemy than a former friend. Break up the ecumenical alliances!
