There were some pretty interesting changes announced. Brief rundown of the two announcements: Brothers can wear beards. Service is no longer mandatory and you don’t have to report your time. Sisters can wear slacks to the KH and in service. Disfellowshipped people can be given a simple greeting and can be invited to meetings. Changes to how elders meet with people and dispense judgement. Changes to elders interacting with minors. Changes to the shunning practice.

A lot of people feel that this is in response to the government in Norway removing the JW Org from it’s list of official religions and defunding them.
