I keep hearing how Kamala would be worse than Biden, and I have my doubts. Yeah, she did basically the worst in the 2020 primaries and the democrats have done almost nothing to promote her since then, but I assume she didn’t beat medicare and can speak in clear and complete sentences.
I’m going to qualify this with the fact that I would vote for a corpse before I vote for Trump, I’m just frustrated the Democrats are actually making me.
Nobody’s worried that he had a bad debate. It was a massacre. Trump would loudly answer some unrelated question with how we have to murder/deport all Latinos, and on Biden’s turn, he’d just say “I’ve never heard such Malarkey”, take a breath, mumble three words, take a breath, mumble three words, take a breath, mumble three words, and then get lost. That’s not a bad debate performance, that’s somebody’s lost grandpa. They’re worried- I’m worried- because he seems unfit to be a Wal-Mart greeter, let alone president. I keep being told that we have too much at stake this election, and it’s true, so I’m currently bewildered that we’re staking the whole ass future of our democracy to a man who might no longer be fit to even drive. This is the time to bring the best we have to offer, to go as hard as possible, because I’m reading Project 2025 right now and it reads to me that the republicans intend to enforce what they determine to be social norms with murder. Instead, we’ve got a guy that can hardly make a campaign ad without sounding out of breath with the DNC basically flashing back to Hillary and saying shit like “no, YOU’RE out of touch” and “well, you don’t have any choice; what are you going to do, vote for that Bozo?” And we all saw how that turned out. People have already, in fact, elected that Bozo once before. There’s no reason to think it can’t happen again. If the folks at the DNC aren’t already white knuckling the wheel, then they must be the most delusional people on the planet.

Yeah, I don’t get it. I was confused and not happy when I saw he was running again. He could’ve gone out like a heavily watered down LBJ, instead he’s going to be forever remembered as the lost nursing home patient who wandered onto the debate stage. This is an unmitigated disaster, and the only way forward I see now is have Joe step down and let Kamala be the president. I’m not excited for that prospect, but I assume she can at least win a debate against a potted plant.

It’s not like the protests just went nowhere and petered out. That was the effect, but the state showed that it has a violent and psychotic response to any serious criticism, and was unashamed of it.

Not op, I got a free Ender 3 from a frustrated co-worker, and am now the frustrated co-worker. I’ve tried getting a new glass print surface, tried using glue sticks, tried changing print temps and speeds, tried levelling and re-levelling and re-levelling the bed, but I just can’t get the print to stick for love or money. It’s now been re-homed to the garage, as a parking obstacle for my bicycle.
Gas prices mean nothing if you can take the train. Every time gas prices jump, people start thinking about alternatives. Might be pretty sick, actually.

This is the most important election I’ve lived to see, and the democrats have collectively decided that our best chance of winning and stopping a full tilt descent into open Christian fascism lies with a guy who would have been sent home from being a Wal-Mart greeter. I think that’s completely insane. We can and should do better than Ruth Bader Ginsburging the election.
Yes, there’s a legitimate chance that Trump could die or become disabled in any of the same ways Biden realistically could between now and November; stroke, heart attack, fall with various injuries, just whole ass failing to wake up, etc. BUT consider the outcome. If Trump dies, as-is, the GOP is left directionless and we probably get four more years of conservative Democrats. If Biden dies, as-is, best case is we get a Kamala Harris who has been wholly unprepared and wholly unprepared for by the DNC, and we more than likely end up with however long it takes for the Christian Fascist regime to spark a civil war or otherwise implode under its own stupid weight, probably a good deal longer than four years. And between the two of them, Biden seems a lot more frail, and I’m not just talking about the debate stage. Every appearance I’ve seen from Biden in the last four to six months, even in carefully managed campaign ads, he looks and sounds like hell, his speech is a lot more unclear and uneven than it used to be (I will fucking elbow drop you if you say it’s his stutter. Compare Biden now to Biden twelve or even four years ago), he walks with the kind of old man shuffle that suggests he should be using a walker for his own safety. I think that Biden is at very real risk of death or disability soon, he’s most likely too frail to get us across the finish line, and we’re stupidly gambling the entire future of the country and the people that live in it because the Democrats love their stupid hierarchies or whatever (it’s her turn!). I swear, if we descend into Christian fascism and the consequences thereof, I’m going to slap every person I meet from the DNC. I’m going to slap them until they’re as fucking cooked as our country is.
