I really wish they would and set a precedent for Nintendo’s anti-consumer tactics.

Sometimes you have to be a bit more pragmatic. I’m not aware of any TV with HDR, Dolby Vision, OLED, etc. that isn’t smart and reasonably priced. Your best bet is to buy a smart TV and block Internet access.

Another thing you can do is visit the selfhosted subs and they can help you out with other things like pihole for blocking ads and intrusive network activity on your home network.

The modern day “do your own research means find whatever supports your confirmation bias”. However, I feel like there’s a lot of discouragement against a healthy skepticism as well, which is… not healthy either.

New video game releases from Nintendo. I’m all grown up and primarily game on PC but I still buy pretty much every Zelda release and recently beat Super Mario RPG 2023.

It’s a tough call between Fight Club and the Matrix. But id have to give it to the Matrix. That was groundbreaking and it still holds up.

Something that works fairly well for me:

• Make a copy of the file you’re working sudo copy /etc/fstab /etc/fstab.bak
• Ask a particular question to ChatGPT How do I mount a samba share in Ubuntu Server 22.04?
• Read through the commands and try them out. ChatGPT is great for stuff like this, especially with follow-up questions, and giving you detailed info on error messages.
• If you fubar, then simply restore your backup file and try again.
