We didn’t learn our lesson all the years Trump was president last time. We ignored the Proud Boys, the Nazis in Charlottesville with their tiki torches, the bible photo op after beating aside protestors. None of this mattered to most of us outside the moment they happened. We’re all quickly absorbing the news in these small increments and consider it all to be a normal part of life in America.

I don’t think there’s an easy way to convince ourselves that we shouldn’t put up with this, especially now that the orange fascist is reelected. People want comforting lies and violent rhetoric because they’re used to it. They want to be told the US is the best country in the world and if we just got rid of the undesirables we’ll be back to our glory days, whatever they think that may be.

It’s still better than WebEx because I don’t have to log in to that piece of shit software to start a video call.

The idea is to deliberately give them a small amount of money so they won’t dispute the inheritance by saying they were overlooked.

Boomers were drawn in to MAGA to protect their wealth. Gen Z kids were attracted by the promise of lifting them out of poverty and change of the status quo on this. Fascists are really good at convincing people on all parts of the economic spectrum.

That’s an uncomfortable yet valid question. A significant portion of Gen Z kids were exposed to the MAGA shit through Rogan or Tate. I’m not a parent, but I’d put some serious thought into limiting their inheritance on the down low.

MAG was truly a gem that never got the chance to shine. I wish some other developer would try doing something as mad as 256 player matches again.

195 million Americans could have voted. I’ll be generous and assume 40% were unwillingly removed from the voting registrations or couldn’t vote by mail. That still leaves 117 million Americans who simply did not care about who was going to win. They were just as fine with having a neoliberal president with feeble, token acts of progress, or a fucking fascist. The apathy in this country is rampant and I find it horrifying. It means they feel isolated from whatever consequences come next.

It’d be nice if JRPGs would go back to the old school overworld design like in Star Ocean 2. It’s a good compromise between sense of scale and interactivity with the world.

That’s no excuse. The results are still the same. They still voted for it by abstaining. It’s better to rip that bandaid off now and come to terms with it.

PT Cruisers are the epitome of beautiful art deco aesthetics paired with shit design choices and build quality. Just give me one with Toyota quality control and a more efficient engine/electric motor and I’ll be quite happy.

Desk jobs can be nice but depending on the role, they can haunt your waking moments when you leave for vacation and know there are things that need to get done. Almost everyone I know who works this way end up logging in on their free time because of it.
