  • I think things are reaching a breaking point. The crew member that recently got promoted is starting to see more of what it is I went through whenever we were short staffed and he’s had enough. Honestly if I were confident enough that I could get more people agitated and organized I would start to do it, but I know him and he’s been really anti-union whenever we’ve talked about unions in general. The next biggest obstacle being that all the other leads/managers are close with our boss from a previous project they worked on.

    So all I have left is just to hit the job market and see what upper management wants to do in the meantime. If they get serious about giving us a proper head count then I might just stay, but the number of times they’ve “thought” about it in the past few years doesn’t give me any confidence that they’ve ever been serious about staffing our locations properly.
