Obviously. Point is it’s either completely unreadable or completely unnecessary. Why are you summarising a postcard?
I’m like the only person here actually giving feedback. Make it readable and don’t waste people’s time summarising two sentences.

When I looked a couple of hours ago the first link’s summary was an enormous block of text with no formatting and the second was about 40 words summarised to 20.
Why Is There So Much Hate for Cybertruck Owners?
This situation raises an important question: Why is there so much negativity towards Cybertruck owners?
Elon Musk Controversy: Some people dislike Musk’s political views and take it out on Tesla owners.
Bold Design: The Cybertruck already attracts attention—some love it, some hate it.
Political Associations: Many see the Cybertruck as a “right-wing” vehicle, causing backlash from those who disagree.
Jealousy & Class Divide: Some people resent expensive vehicles, assuming the owners are wealthy.
Flashy Wrap Choices: A gold Cybertruck makes an already controversial vehicle stand out even more.
Whatever the reason, no one should be harassed for simply driving the vehicle they love.
Yes, that’s why.
I feel a bit bad for the people who really did buy it because they thought it was cool and not to make a statement. I can only assume those people exist because you never hear about them, but if they do that sucks. But yeah I’m just jealous of someone driving an enormous gold block probably.
even less on desktop computers
Blocktube and Enhancer for Youtube are Firefox extensions that can hide all of that shit completely. Mine has all shorts disabled, and I’ve removed the recommended videos panels from the right hand side & ends of videos, plus disabled any non-playlist autoplay. There’s still crap on the Home tab, but I don’t use that so I’ve never needed to look into ways to improve it, I just use the subbed tab and playlists. My YT shows me exactly what I ask for and nothing else. The Blocktube extension settings can be password-locked.
Dude was convicted of 34 felonies and THEN got elected president for a second time after a disastrous first term which ended with him inciting an insurrection to try to stay in power, the richest man in the world (credibly!) said he’s a pedophile and is covering it up, which surprised nobody because we all fuckin know, he said himself that he could shoot someone on the street and not lose any voters. What “dirt” do you think anyone has on him that he would be worried about?
Why is it over Breaking Bad? I don’t see the connection.
Hell yeah, trains were so much fun to play with. I had a big spreadsheet detailing all of my trains and stations, showing exactly what was going on everywhere. By the end of the game I had a few dozen trains and stations.
I haven’t played this game since I beat it and got all of the achievements back in November, but for the last few days at work I’ve been rolling designs for a big train-based megafactory around in my head. Picture a tower made of factories taking up about half of the desert. I’ve been pacing around trying to describe it succinctly for about 20 minutes but keep giving up and deleting everything I write. I think I’ve worked out a tileable design that will work, it’s just a matter of sketching it all up, deciding what will be made where and getting started. I haven’t even launched the game lately because it’s too daunting.
I agree, and please use actual fire.
Yeah obviously, but so what? The guy was convicted of 34 felonies and was still allowed to become president. Unless there’s a consequence for any of these scum (and no, Elon losing some money while still having more than every single person on this site combined will see in a hundred lifetimes doesn’t count) who gives a shit about any more proof of Trump’s crimes?
ReadEra on my tablet, and I think just a FireFox extension on the PC. I don’t remember exactly what made me move from Aldiko to ReadEra, but I liked it enough to grab the paid version. Sources are all from MAM, so I’m not sure about options that let you buy & download in-app.
There’s a game on Steam called Coloring Pixels which is basically just paint by number with pixel art. It’s one of the most chill games you’ll ever play. They posted an update about their next community-voted DLC, which is a Pride themed colouring book. They have dozens of DLC books, all super cheap, this one costs a dollar. Even knowing exactly what the Steam users are like (hell, the first page of comments on any update to any game is generally 75% blocked because they’re all assholes or spammers) I couldn’t believe the backlash from the “anti-woke” dickheads. For a digital colouring book. They’re the biggest fuckin babies.
That’s exactly what happened in 2020 isn’t it? Trump wanted to stop Covid testing, because less testing meant fewer confirmed cases. Then thousands of people died every single day from uhh… something else.
They still have it, it’s just called prison labour now.
The Absolute comics are reimaginings of the characters that make some big changes to them and the worlds they’re in. This isn’t like, THE Batman, this version is an engineer rather than a billionaire and his mum is alive. It’s alright, but Martian Manhunter, The Flash and Green Lantern are all more interesting to me than the trinity so far.
Wonder Woman is pretty cool though, she fights demons with a huge sword and has a mechanical arm, it was a big Berserk reference.
Cutting off the top of a bottle and jamming the bag through the lid to seal it.
Lawful good for homemade, otherwise lawful neutral until my gf throws out the thingy and forces me to go with chaotic neutral.
Holding shift and dragging the selection box around in paint was like 60% of my computer classes.
Thanks for sharing. I heard about this on Opening Arguments yesterday and was curious about how bad it would look.
I don’t think they do convey the same information.
vs
All the summary has done is remove the quote. That part IS the news that’s being reported on, it matters just as much as the context.
vs
This one has removed the source (which is fair enough if you think that’s not useful information, but I wouldn’t agree), one of the two reasons given, and the context. Someone who only sees this summary will have no idea what it’s about or how to look into it further, which means they’re going to have to read the (one sentence) article anyway.
As for paragraphs, yes. Text that looks like this
is not useful to anybody. I’m not reading this, you haven’t read this. It’s awful.
