Actually, the answer is complicated.

Wenn der Mensch nicht angetrofffen wird, dann ist er vielleicht gerade im Keller, oder beim Arzt, oder beim Einkaufen, oder im Kino… und das alles geht den Chef nichts an, und das alles ist vollkommen erlaubt und auch nicht geeignet, um die angedeutete Anschuldigung “Krankfeiern” (=Betrug) daraus abzuleiten.

Sehr wohl relevant ist allerdings, dass die Leute das erwähnen, dass Menschen nicht angetroffen wurden!

Das darf man interpretieren: Sie wollen all diese Andeutungen machen. Sie wollen ihre Mitarbeiter Betrüger nennen.
