It is, but horni brain isn’t thinking about future sleepy brain, horni brain wants the wet and wants it now, no time for towel.
Then people see this and go “see no one uses the train so why should my tax dollars go to fund it”
Imagine if we let drivers have 1 day per week to use the highway, suddenly they might not think their taxs are worth it for the service they are getting.

“Oh people are protesting my law that denies their rights and destroys their lands, better go off to the cottage all summer until this blows over”. Is this really the attitude we want from a leader?
Given they are suspended over water, it may actually be better to not have the harness. If the whole thing were to tip the harness could get tangled and keep someone trapped under water.

His excuses for what is causing congestion are statistically wrong, he blames the solutions to congestion as the causes.
The province has hinted at planing some other transit projects so lets cancel new projects that would work better in unison.
He explicitly states that new solutions cannot slow down private automobiles, despite them be unfairly catered to for decades while every other transportation method is left underfunded, unreliable, and is already much slower than private automobiles.
He then has the audacity to claim this will lead to amore inclusive solution when he is explicitly excluding cyclists from safe infrastructure.

Flaring would be much cheaper than a methane generator or capture device.

I’m so sick of the “we can’t build bike lanes, transit, sidewalks etc because it causes congestion” excuse.

FireRetardant@lemmy.worldto Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Uber's new shuttles look suspiciously familiar to anyone who's taken a busEnglish17·5 days agoPublic transit is a service, and should be funded like a public service rather than for profit. A downside i can see to this would be a city refusing to upgrade or fund their own transit, letting Uber fill the gap and letting uber decide the pricing, which will eventually result in much higher pricing than a publicly funded system.
Publicly funded systems can also take advantage of city planning, like where specific stops can be, requiring certain developments to build a bus stop, and providing bus rapid transit lanes & priority signals to ensure buses remain on schedule.

Athletes in the same sport have similar builds due to training in similar ways to use the same muscle groups. Cyclists have strong legs because they train to cycle, they didn’t wake up one day with massive legs telling them to be a cyclist.
This is why Ricky had it right with his hashcoins. He could treat them as currency and exchange them for goods, the other party could then do the same using it as a currency, or just smoke the hashcoin as if it were a good.
FireRetardant@lemmy.worldto Ontario@lemmy.ca•Not like anyone wants to shoot up in a bathroom2·6 days agoPart of the problem is we would still have to enforce people going to the designated areas. Even with the designated areas, there will still be discarded needles and people doing it elsewhere. Its similar to how you’ll often see litter next to a public garbage can.
Not saying it isnt worth it, but just the sites alone aren’t enough to end the needle litter and people using in other places. We would need to encourage the sites use and discourage use/disposal elsewhere.
One could argue it is safe in reasonable moderation. CHS devlops due to extreme and excessive daily use of cannabis. Enjoying a joint every now and then is far safer than toking every 30 minutes.
If i ate 30 chocolate bars everyday for weeks on end, I’d have some serious health issues, but one every weekend would be nearly unnoticeable from a health perspective.
