Are you sure it’s that rare? Off the top of my head I can think of 4 I’ve known personally, plus all the trans people online that I follow (shout out Jimquisition, Contrapoints, and Philosophy Tube). It’s not that rare, unless you live in a place full of bigots, then yes, I bet they don’t come around or stay in the closet. Maybe it’s the fact I have only one? There are a couples places that would be a lot quieter if I stopped commenting and I’m guessing they don’t really want to bite the many hands that feed. Once comments die it’s just a graveyard of links.

I hate what my countries doing, but I also like seeing these other countries come together to give America a big ol’ middle finger. It may force Europe to unite as a major global power (great video discussing some current economic realities) and maybe loosen the power of the IMF and stop all the terrible austerity measure. I hate that term, as if the people who demand austerity even know what that means.

Being a victim does not make you an advocate. You would think it does, it happens all the movies and TV shows, but it just doesn’t, not by default.
