On day 1 of the 2nd term, Trump signed an executive order that asked for a report due 90 days in on additional actions on the southern border. It specifically asked them to write if they thought the Insurrection Act should be invoked.
They aren’t going to recommend invoking it. If you heard people concerned about April 20th, this was the report they were talking about

The surest way to get Trump to do something is to tell him don’t do it. Now this is in the cards at any time.

Even if the probability is less than 100% it is a good idea to prepare while there’s still time to do so. Its not about paralysis, its about emergency preparedness and taking necessary precautions.
Such as?
Here are some examples that come to mind:
- Having enough food/water/essentials to make it through 3 days without electricity or gas (like what was recommend in Europe recently)
- having a plan of how you’ll to keep in contact and meet with people you care about if there’s no internet or cell service
- making sure whatever social media you use to voice dissent cannot be easily linked to your identity via email, photos, location data, etc.
Basically the same sort of disaster preparedness you would have normally, except the last bullet point

Found these two, which seem to cloud the issue. These don’t say “possible”, the first even says “eventual”.

I can’t imagine there’s not already a court ready to slap them with an injunction on the grounds that a “foreign invasion” is not a “domestic insurrection”.
