I’d call that resistance. Musk is the terrorist.
I’d call it “low-life criminals being terrorists vandalizing private property,” which is what the courts will say. Dude just threw away his life and it didn’t change anything. Now he’s gonna have a criminal record for rest of his life and in 10 years, he’ll realize how cringe he was for doing this.
You would, though donny j.
Yes, I would and do call it “low-life criminals being terrorists vandalizing private property,” which is what the courts will say too. Dude just threw away his life and it didn’t change anything. Now he’s gonna have a criminal record for rest of his life and in 10 years, he’ll realize how cringe he was for doing this.
Just like you’ll realize all this Lemmy edge posting you are doing, will be laughable too. Because NONE of it is going to change the Trump presidency. NONE of this will change rich people getting richer.
All that’s going to happen, is that you will get older, then realize how much time you wasted arguing about useless shit on Lemmy while you thought it was going to change.
And then you can look up Luigi and realize that he’s still in prison, and that he regrets what he did, because he was young, dumb, and impulsive.
And he’s also one of the rich people who Lemmy despises so much, Spicy L.
LMAO
Lol
Yep. And I’ll be laughing longer than you. I promise. :)
I just can’t take you seriosuly
And I don’t care if you take me seriously. See how that works? Now come back under one of your many alt names, and say the same thing. And you’ll still see I don’t care. LMAO
I don’t care which name you’re using, I honestly and sincerely don’t care about your (or any Lemmy) opinion at all. :)
It’s one thing if a person has a distaste for musk, but destroying someones property (a Tesla) after they buy a car, which seems to be a common trend. There are people that buy cars that probably don’t pay attention to politics and have no idea about Elon Musk, but just know that Trump is president. I just feel if you’re trying to target Musk, that isn’t really winning you any favors destroying the cars that people bought.

Agreed. Not only that, but some people bought the Tesla because they believe in Electric Vehicle movement. Which Dems and Lemmy’s used to be all about!
I mean I doubt if ANY of these Tesla owners went out and bought a Tesla just because Trump became besties with Musk.
Dude seriously messed up his life because of blind politics. Now he’ll have a record for rest of his life. Hope he likes dumpster-diving for vegan food behind Whole Foods. Because his job choices are gonna suck now.
All because he was mad about who was president. And it didn’t even change anything! lol
I would rather protesters go after the Tesla cars if they were out to be sold through retail rather then after someones expensive personal purchase. It would make more sense since you’d be hurting the company and none of the innocent costumers in the middle of it. While I can’t say whether i’m for Elon musk, I do think that civilians should be left out of explosions which risk happening from setting the cars on fire, and fire can spread.
Setting random tesla’s on fire have a risk of spreading to other peoples cars if no one tries to set out the fire and just leaves it. It can end up hurting minorities in the process that you would think they were trying to protect.
So i’m not saying that being against elon is wrong, 1st amendment thing, but rather the way sometimes they seem to go about it, and how setting random strangers purchased tesla’s risks hurts more innocent bystanders even beyond just the household that might own the car after purchase, not just costumers the neighbors of the costumers, who may or may not be minorities that they are advocating for. Fire spread if left unattended. Very dangerous, it can affect anyone negativly doesn’t matter who the neighbors are, or their personal beliefs.
Agreed, though I would also argue that destroying property just to make a point is not the way to go. Now show up in mass to protest at the dealership. Cool. Destroying other people’s shit, even if owned by a company, is not cool.
It’s stupid, hurts the cause, and can cause a serious criminal record.
Showing up in a peaceful mass is exactly what they want. Showing them you’re not afraid to destroy things to fix the status quo is what scares them. The time for peaceful protest is over.
Showing them you’re not afraid to destroy things to fix the status quo is what scares them.
But it doesn’t scare them. Nothing has changed. Would you like conservatives to go destroy cars at dealerships in your area because they didn’t like Biden or Harris? You know what you all would be saying if that happened?! Come on, now…
Maybe. But surely i’d rather costumers and bystanders not get caught in the crossfire’s. However, if they are going to do something like this to prove a point, they aren’t targeting the right spaces by going after random peoples Teslas already purchased.
I totally agree that random people’s cars should be left alone. Especially since most EV owners are democrat anyway.
Are they? I seen a good amount of conservatives driving evs. Living off the grid.
Maybe it’s changing. I mean until recently it was liberals who were all about EV’s, living off the grid, going vegan and being hippies. So if conservatives are doing that now, I wonder if liberals are gonna go the opposite way?
Kinda like back in the old days, country music people hated long hair that rock and roll wore. Now every almost every country star guy has long hair. And rockers go short.
But to the point, most conservatives I know just don’t have the money for EV. I would think that even if some conservatives to, I bet most EV owners are liberal.
Wasn’t it just a few years ago that people were blaming conservatives on big gas guzzlers and texas style truck lifestyles?
