Ah yes, the famously accurate IQ test for 5 year olds
actually the only valid use of an IQ test, tbh. The whole point of them originally was to identify which students needed additional help understanding the concepts being taught, and which were more advanced than their peers.
Yeesh, sorry for trying to make a post to the Positive News community.
I think it’s a nice story. Not so much the Mensa stuff, but their parents seem to be attentive and have a good relationship with them. Not pushing them into things they don’t like and instead encouraging them in things they enjoy (like the video games).
The child wanted to be in mensa? Why?
I was just saying I personally don’t see much benefit in mensa, and therefore don’t particularly find that part heart warming. I also think labeling kids that early is rarely beneficial. It does come off as rather child exploitation-y. But at least it sounds like their parents are doing their best to make sure their kids are raised in a balanced way.
Usually these kids are abused more than anything
Right go train a 4 year old on their times tables, see how positive an experience it is!
Yeah you tried.
Einstein never took an IQ test.
