I’m just mad at this point. This looks pretty much like Bloodborne 2 in terms of aesthetics. Not only did neither Sony nor FS even acknowledge its 10th anniversary, but they also release a game that’s so similar to it that you could pass it off as BB2. I’m just pissed man. Plus gating it behind a new console is just annoying

TBF, Bloodborne is an exclusive title. And this is exactly what Miyazaki did when Sony wouldn’t let him make Demon’s Souls 2: he went and made Dark Souls which is pretty much a sequel.

In the case of BB, it’s been confirmed several times over, though, that it’s not really up to Sony what happens to the franchise but rather Miyazaki himself. At least they’ve told that they wouldn’t touch Bloodborne unless Miyazaki is involved in some form. Not sure what’s keeping him from it seeing as he likes the game a lot

It really makes me wonder what has been going on behind the scenes. Is Sony being uncooperative? Has Fromsoft been ghosting them for their new buddy Nintendo? Lol

Whatever it is, I suppose I’m picking up the Switch 2 now.

Does seem to be a 8-player PvP(vE) multiplayer game, so it doesn’t seem to follow the traditional formula.

Lots of questions, yea. Seeing as this upcoming game looks pretty much finished, they’ve probably ironed out the deal with Nintendo a couple years back even before the talks of Kadokawa’s acquisition by Sony were thrown around. Indeed interesting to think about why they didn’t go to Sony again. It’s not like they’ve had long-lasting ties to Nintendo unlike Sony who pretty much kickstarted their career via Demon’s Souls
