I recently got a roast beef sub from Paulie’s in north end for lunch, and it was pretty ding dang good. It made me realize I don’t really go out for sandwiches/subs very much, I think that whole category has become a kind of blind spot for me. I’m curious if anyone has any favorite sub spots in the city I should try? Somerville + Cambridge count too.
Al’s on State St is pretty great. Mike’s Roast Beef in Everett is solid too. Surprisingly, the sub counter at the Star Market by TD Garden is decent, kinda reminds me of PubSubs from back home.
