I’m trying to pull manual shots from my Breville Bambino, and it simply isn’t working. I’m following the steps in the manual. (Press and hold the double-shot button for pre-infusion, then release it for the extraction to start, and then press again to stop.) The issue is, the machine stops midway, before I press the button. Seems like it’s doing the pre-programmed double shot volume, and stopping after that. Does anyone has experience pulling manual shots from this machine? Should I contact Breville for a repair?
Edit: It fixed itself after performing a factory reset.
I pull manual shots and it works 90% of the time. It does seem to struggle a bit more in the extraction than when I do the auto shot. Not sure what that’s all about, but it’s not stopping like you said. Good luck!
Have you tried the single shot button instead?
Yep. Same thing.
I have the Bambino Plus, and I’ve done manual shots in the past. It’s been a while though. I can test it tomorrow. You might not be holding it long enough, or perhaps even too long?
I’ve reprogrammed mine to do much longer shots, that could also be an alternative.
I’ll try that. Thanks.
So I tried holding the one shot button for about 3 seconds this morning, and it keeps going until I stop it.
I did a factory reset, and it seems to have fixed itself.
Glad to hear it!
