    Redbox DVD rentals comes to mind. I never used them, but thet were everywhere for a while and disappeared once streaming took over.

      Streaming killed them, but they killed the industry.

      Redbox was everywhere - to smother the competition. Once the competition died off, Redbox retracted to the most profitable locations… And in doing so became just as inconvenient as their competition was if not more.

      Fuck Redbox.

    Froyo? I don’t remember where the fad came from, but I kinda miss it (nearest frozen yogurt place far from where I live).

      Meh, I ate a lot of it in the 90s. TCBY was huge. I see that the two spots in my city are still going strong.

        Man, completely forgot about that chain, probably haven’t had it since the 90s. I remember not being a fan of it in my hometown. Looking back, I’m sure it was probably just poorly staffed/managed.
