Hey, German here. What the f*** are Americans doing at the other side of the Atlantic? Some of you already know this monstrosity. I did’nt. This is a Ford F650 Truck and when I stepped out of my Youtube Bubble I realized, it was marketed as the “biggest, baddest Truck on the road” for the everyday American. Are you guys serious?! Is the end goal really to drive a Monster Truck to McDs to get a McFlurry? Americas bloodiest wars have been fought in the middle east to secure oil, bombing nations to rubble. And all, for this bullshit? The excess, waste and decadence is mind boggling to me and people on Reddit seriously justifying this by “you know dude I’m 6,4ft. I don’t fit in any other vehicle” makes me go up the wall.

Yeah, my little Kia Soul could seat a 6’7" guy in the passenger seat and still have enough room for an adult to sit behind him. Meanwhile I’ve been in trucks and SUVs that felt insanely cramped at 6’2". There are such things as little cars for big people and big cars only meant for little people.

Yeah. Part of that is how the big guy is proportioned. My dad and I are the same height but sit very differently in vehicles as he’s more lower body and I’m more upper. He likes the seat wayyyyy back compared to me so I have to mess with things if I’m picking up his car for him.

For myself, I drive a Civic and it’s generally comfortable, but - and this may sound dumb - it’s got a sunroof gives me a bit more clearance. If I close the shade on the sunroof, my head is barely clear of the ceiling at my normal seat position and it’s a bit claustrophobic. Pretty much every car I’ve had since my teens has one and it often feels very different driving vehicles without.

Two vehicles may be the same height and overall dimensions inside but just the seat+steering can make a notable difference in comfort between body proportions.
