Candidate faces 12 allegations of breaching party rules, source says
The source said she faced 12 allegations, including accepting donations from a corporation in the form of payments to campaign staff.
Dhalla was accused of failing to disclose the involvement of a non-Canadian citizen in her campaign, which the party alleges would amount to foreign interference if it happened during an election period.
Why has the Liberal party never had a female leader to run the party?
Like the other commenter said: Kim Campbell. Basically the same reason why the NDP haven’t been in power federally since the 90s (thanks, Bob Rae).
Bob Rae’s strategy for coping with the recession was brand new, never tried before. It worked to the degree that it is now studied and emulated. Ontario had one of the best governments at the time. It’s not Bob Rae’s fault, it’s Ontario’s fault.
I know that. It’s not me that you have to convince. But it’s dishonest to pretend that he’s not the reason why the NDP have not held meaningful federal power since.
Not a bad question, but I’m not sure it’s relevant to this story.
I really hate to say it but they probably saw what happened to Kim Campbell and are having difficulties with it.
