Trump obviously wants more power to the executive branch and has the blessing to ignore the judicial branch of government. And it might be hard to claw back once in the power balance has bern shifted.

Before the election, I was on .world. And active in the c/politics community. I created and modded several Socialist Workers Party communities (which are still up and which I still mod on other instances). I talked about how I advocated third-party.
I said I was going to vote socialist party. And I got sooo may hateful comments. Much more hateful comments from liberals on lemmy than any conservatives.
And I eventually got banned for my views. And that banning was celebrated. And to this day, people STILL want to ban me.
But look at my posts. None have ever advocated violence. None have ever advocated anything radical. I post articles.
