They were pretty sweet before OLEDs
They’re still pretty sweet now, have better picture and in most cases were designed with housing that allowed the speakers to fire forwards, so they sound better. Only the power drain sucks.
And the fact they weigh 60+ lbs. I had one prior to my OLED, as you said nice picture but wall mounting was…not ideal
you seem to have misunderstood, you’re supposed to use it as a wall, the TV is load bearing.
That’s twice a week for 7 years.
