He’s morbidly obese, not overweight.
Morbid is such an interesting adjective as it’s only commonly used in conjunction with obese. You’d never say someone’s hair is morbidly blond, or his face is morbidly orange, or his brain is morbidly small.
It’s because the definition of morbid doesn’t fit any of those examples except the last.
