In between my spikes of melancholy, isolation and loneliness I’m currently playing Tekken 8. The game can be extremely frustrating and unfair but I don’t have anything else to play and I’m running out of money so I won’t buy anything else this year. WWE 2k24 has been a disappointment this year, cyberpunk was a disappointment, stardew valley has been a disappointment. Warframe, another disappointment, that game feels that has no real direction or sense of progress.
Seems like modern games aren’t good anymore (I guess stardew valley isn’t new but whatever).
The only decent modern decent game I played this year is Re4remake…
I was planning of buying the new Spider-Man game, but after seeing the promotional material, it turned me off.
Warframe, started playing a couple of months ago and I absolutely love it, still play several hours every day and I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
No Man’s Sky, started the new expedition yesterday, still at the very beginning so haven’t seen much of the new things from the World Part 1 update yet.
Dungeons of Hinterberg, really nice and chill game, love the music and art style.
Warframe is a good game. That being said, I’m completely done with playing it. I spent a lot of time and money on it. Took a couple year break and came back for several story quests and regretted it heavily. For all the good points, the negatives reaaaaalllly weigh on me far too heavily. For a game to have been around as long as warframe and still have common beta game issues, no set standards for doing their ingame bookkeeping, and the incessant content islands that each big update brings have worn on me unevenly to the point of any instance causing a bad taste.
I can give examples if you care, but there’s a lot for people to love/hate about it.
