    I mean you don’t need to buy at every level, and a lot of it is shared, e.g. the smart casual and business casual blazers can be the same one

      it’s not the guide that’s bullshit, it’s the fact that distinct categories like “smart casual” (wtf is “smart” any kind of clothes anyway?) and “business casual” even exist. i sincerely hope i never get to the point that i can tell them apart. we need to push for LESS superficial bullshit culture, not the other way around

        Smart is a British term for looking sharply dressed, etc. Like “Oi, Lad, don’t you look smart with the new 'aircut”

          ok. this still doesn’t explain how “sharply dressed” casual is different from “business” casual. don’t tell me–i don’t care
