Newsmax hostĀ Carl HigbieĀ went on a tirade on Friday after former PresidentĀ Donald TrumpĀ was convicted by a Manhattan jury the day before.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee was foundĀ guiltyĀ on all 34 counts of falsifying business records to conceal hush money payments to cover up extramarital affairs. Trump was concerned the affairs would come to light and harm his presidential aspirations. The RepublicanĀ freakoutĀ has been swift if not predictable. Despite their outrage and indignation, some conservatives insist that being a convicted felon willĀ help Trumpā€™s chancesĀ of returning to the White House in Novemberā€™s election.

During Fridayā€™s edition ofĀ FrontlineĀ on Newsmax, Higbie demanded congressional Republicans drop everything and go after those involved in Trumpā€™s prosecution.

Prove it. Just because it is a catchy doesnā€™t mean itā€™s true.

Youā€™ve cited the proof yourself. The wealthy have made sure that voting is just as hard as they can possibly make it in areas that arenā€™t poor, or wonā€™t vote for the interests of the monied class.
