Man. My kids are just getting out of the hand holding stage. I love that they’re getting more mature, but I really miss those hot slimy little hands.
And oh so sticky
You don’t realize how slimy/sticky kids are until you have your own. Like, they’re clearly gross, but you don’t realize how gross.
You can explain hygiene to a four year old until you’re blue in the face and they’ll still turn around and chase a chicken nugget under the booth at a restaurant.

I seriously thought for way too long that you were doing prayer hands and you just had one really tiny left hand.
Mine is about to leave home for university. I really miss the hand holding days.
Oh for what it’s worth my eldest is long gone. Been through university, has a job, moved country and we still text and call constantly.
