I particularly enjoy the implication here that Australia occupies its own category higher than merely ‘safe’.
It’s only safe for Aussies, though.
I love that travel not advised is just the entire ocean so Australia subliminally telling citizens not to leave.
USA safer than Sweden and Denmark. 😂
For real, wtf where they freebasing?
What bullshit is Australian pulling here?
US marked as safe but the UK is not?
Laos and Cambodia are safe but Germany is not? Right. Those cunts had a few Foster’s too many.
Not enough venomous creatures.
The UK government itself thinks a terrorist attack is likely, that’s why. It’s probably the same for the other yellow countries in Europe.
Haven’t been to London lately right? 200 odd acid attacks alone last year and who knows how many stabbings. It’s a war zone
You should come to grips with the up-to-6-mass-shootings-per-day America has going on and remind yourself that acid is horrific but knives and acid compared to guns is a little different.
- getting into a car
- being 30 feet away
- being behind a door
All these things are different if you’re against a knife vs a gun.
For example, a recent katana attack in my country was foiled when victims … kept 6 feet away until the dude was tased to shit by the popo.
So yeah, 200-odd acid attacks were terrible to the victims; definitely, before we look at commonalities of acid attacks. But gunplay nearby is a different thing for everyone within like a half-mile.
I’m not from the US and I’m familiar with how guns work but thanks for explaining.
Having lived there I can say London really is a war zone these days.
Why is central Europe yellow?
Well in England, there’s a fair chance of getting stabbed at various locations. For example, if you go to Finsbury Park and hang out, there’s a reasonable chance you’ll get stabbed. If you stay at home you could get stabbed too, although this time it’s more likely that the lack of corporate regulation and sorry excuse for a government we’ve had for the last fucking fifteen years will be the guilty party retreating into the shadows behind the bins with a knife. I’d mark England as yellow on a map tbh. ‘Exercise caution’ yeah sounds about right I’m exercising it right now.
And Mexico?? Like, yeah, there are places here I wouldn’t visit just like there are places in the US I wouldn’t go near. But any tourist area is safer than the average US city. What the hell.
I don’t think this is intended to be consumed as a map, exercise caution would be different for all of these countries, like in France I’d need to watch out for thieves and scams while in Brazil is lost bullets.
Right, and I get that. But compared to all you’ve said and what I’ve heard of other countries in this category, we don’t run those risks–especially for foreigners. I’ve been here, living and traveling for quite enough time to know how things are and I can safely say that the warning isn’t quite accurate. I’ve heard more gun shots in US streets than I’ve ever heard down here in roughly the same length of time.
So unless I can find a source that explains this, I wouldn’t trust this map too much.
And Sweden? Exercise caution: Systembolaget closes early in Saturdays?
Funny coincidence to read this now as yesterday I went into a shop here in Sweden and a tourist was asking about beer, the cashier had a hard time explaining how it works here with Systembolaget. I ended up sitting down with him on a bench outside the shop and explaining as best I could, in the end he was actually pretty positive about how it works here.
The safest countries in the world are labeled as requiring caution but the hooligans with guns and an active political coup is labeled as safe… What type of idiot falls for this propaganda???
It’s lacking travel advice for all of the oceans and seas
It has all the advice. Don’t go in the water.
I’m surprised Tasmania made it on the map and that NZ isn’t blue too
Fuck you, Togo.
