Finished shogun. Been rewatching Brooklyn 99.
How is Shogun?
Pretty decent, it feels like they really went for authenticity as it captures the politics of the time and the intricacies of the culture at the time. It balances the story with action but the story takes the forefront and the characters are well developed.
I’d say check it out if you’re into it.
Thanks!
Just watched Talk to Me this week. Solid horror flic from A24, worth the watch!
I have to say I very much enjoyed this movie, but the addiction metaphor was a bit too on the nose for me and kind of broke the immersion.
I can definitely agree with that. Of all the A24 films out there, this one is definitely more on the nose with theming.
I’ve been going through Battlestar Galactica for the first time. I’m really impressed so far, I was honestly expecting something much cornier, but the production value is solid and the acting isn’t half bad either!
X-Men 97 for me, pretty solid if you like the original show
