Even if its a offline unlock you are still distributing someone else code, most licenses prohibit distribution of code without the consent of the owner. Offline unlocks(In the form of cracks, Keygens or Registry changes) that subvert copy protection could also hold you liable for legal problems.
So i understand why a link like that would be banned, try posting a MAGNET instead next time :P
Wrong again, there is no magnet for offline unlocks they are not torrents or pirate games, also how would that make any difference, a magnet is a direct link to the torrent, are you stupid ? Also you download the game files directly from steam using the downloader and no it’s not against any terms and conditions it’s an exploit with steam family sharing feature. If you don’t know what you’re talking about it’s best you be quiet.

The point being that if we all just post links left and right noone knows if its credible or not, often people just post garbage, instead why not post how you get the file instead of posting a link.
Explain them how to find said repacker/cracker/ripper. When someone asks me for a game i usually say, check fitgirl/prowlar/jackett/bitmagnet (Insert X piracy site here). On rare occasions i sent them a magnet straight away but usually only people i know. If you were completely new to piracy and clicked on a link here that almost certainly contained malware with the only creds being the op saying(trust me bro)

Direct links to pirated stuff are always taken down on any public forum like this because it’s illegal and can make the group and instance owner liable for hosting it because everyone can see it, including lawyers and police.
Also that’s cap because the owners are anonymous and unknown to the law, the one on lemmy.db is literally for piracy and post direct links to pirate games throughout but ban and remove this guys post about a legitimate way to get the games for free, crack games are illegal not offline unlocks there are companies that charge for offline unlocks advertising on YouTube. It wasn’t a direct link it was link to a post with instructions to get a free offline unlock which is completely legal and within steams guidelines it’s actually a technical work around exploiting the family share function on steam. Totally legal. Mods need to research better
