There’s this dumb culture on feddit.org/c/ich_iel called “Zangendeutsch” where they translate very badly from English. So they translated “Lemmy” into “Lass mich” which just means “let me”.
It started many years ago on reddit and for a short while it was actually funny. Alas Germans have the worst sense of humor and decided to keep it going forever.

Rance which is the french equivalent of ich_iel has the same. And it has gotten so bad on the reddit that an average conversation is barely understandable as french.
