One, I suspect totally unintentional, thing I kinda like about the Star Wars world building, is it seems like most alien species are a bit “whatever” about all the political shit the humans are getting into.
That’s cuz the EU is pretty hit or miss quality wise. For every KOTOR there’s like ten really bad comics about the robot that patched Luke up at the end of Empire was also friends with Yoda and ran a coffee shop with him.
the comics were literally classed as lower level than everything else. the books were mostly decent, with a few stinkers and a few “literally for children”, but i never fucked with the comics.
Never really got into the EU, but i liked a lot of clone wars comics. I was probably reading them at my friend’s house and he filtered out the dog shit for me
