Well if we’re weaponsmaxxing, we need more hard data on which vehicles are the deadliest so there’s less chance of ruining people’s lives by only maiming them.

Yeah, sadly. Even an ordinary kitchen knife can be used in mass stabbing attack to kill and wound large numbers of people.
It was 9 years ago in 2016, that a man killed a bunch of people in Nice, France using a truck. In 2018, a man in Toronto killed 10 pedestrians with a car.
Not exactly a new idea. There is even a Wikipedia article . Far more than I had thought, or wanted to believe.
