At my work we usually put generic 10 hour nature loops with music playing but nowadays they’re all AI generated and I’m trying to find good long videos (preferably 4-10 hours) of fun music. Doesn’t have to be jazz, just music without too many words. What do you like to listen to when working?
Congolese 60s club music.
Dronezone, deepspace one, spacestation soma, the dark zone and some other channels like groove salad of Somafm commercial free radio
Server room ambience sounds, space station background noise (without music) or something of that sort. I find nature loops to be quite distracting so I never use them.

here’s my “chill mixes” playlist, mostly jazz and funk and mostly instrumental: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjTwYSdFX0dxvOC558x9gMI-sJQ5yixNn
Bossa Nova playlists are one of my go-tos. Maybe some high life, but that’s more aquired.
HELL yeah, I love Ethiopian music

A quick search for post rock should get you going. Russian circles, April rain, there’s a lot of good instrumental rock and roll
maybe try the lofi girl?
For concentration and work, many people recommend listening to video game sound tracks.
Minecraft OST 🔛🔝
When it comes to “boring music” that you can play over a loudspeaker at your workplace, Paul Mauriat is probably the safest bet. I could also mention Pavel Ovsyannikov (USSR) and Wangjaesan Light Music Band (DPRK) but since these are from AES countries you might be in for an awkward convo if anybody asks about the background of the music. I also personally like listening to folk music from different cultures, especially saung (Burmese harp) music, but who knows if that’s going to be everyone’s cup of tea.
- Paul Mauriat - The Best World Instrumental Hits CD 1 (c. 1 hour)
- Pavel Ovsyannikov - To The Stars (c. 12 minutes)
- Pavel Ovsyannikov - Starry Turn (c. 40 minutes)
- Wangjaesan Light Music Band - Volume 1 (c. 1 hour)
- I can’t read what this video’s called but it’s music by U Ba Than (c. 1 hour)
Edit: Sorry, two of the links are wrong, one moment.
Edit 2: The links should be fixed now.
Oh these are EXCELLENT! Thanks a bunch I love the Burmese harps too.
Glad you like it!
