it’s still kind of blowing my mind that the macklemore of “thrift shop” fame from a decade ago is actively funding a project made with the psl to support palestinian liberation. it’s just really something.
I was in Seattle in 2020, after the protests started people were complaining that Macklemore didn’t make any statement, come out to protest, or anything for months, just silent. I thought maybe he was a poser or capitalist shill. But with the recent stuff he’s been saying and doing it makes me think it’s possible he was part of the action incognito doing cool stuff at the time and didn’t want to be open about it.
