Yes, good story. Where I’m from, they are more likely to stand in line for 23 cent pizzas https://nbc24.com/news/local/papa-johns-selling-23-cent-apology-pizzas
I am in/from the USA. But, not of the USA.

I propose we swap our biggest criminal, that dude with 34 felonies that hasn’t served any time yet. Edit: Since he’s already so fucking old, serving the time at CECOT will make up for some of our lost time.
also, me savoring the time alone at night unwinding while high because it feels better than the grind so I get as much as i can
Yeah, I can see that
Yes, thanks for clarifying, I didn’t mean to generalize. Ok then, carry on and best of luck my friend!
Better give him a good wank just in case
So, if you don’t think anyone can help them, then why do you do what you do?
Yes, i agree that is much of the problem. But, they are not that way on purpose, they are a result of the system. They can’t help but be that way. Us being better communicators is showing them compassion, to help them.
I will grant you, that it does very much feel like that at times lol
To be clear, I’m not asking you to change your message or censor yourself. I could turn the ego question back on you. Why should anyone read such large amounts of text, not knowing someone’s credentials? They likely won’t, and will move on. I’m 50, and just learned this 3 years ago myself. If you saw my old reddit account, you would have seen similar walls of text. I still say the same things. but, now i feel like more people actually listen, learn, and respond.
These are all great points. May I give you a little unsolicited advice? It will be the same advice that I believe made me more effective with my messaging. also, it was hard advice for me to get at the time, but it has worked wonders.
I’m also very much on the spectrum, so I’m more likely to read a wall of text than one of our peers lol. But, the people that you need to reach and teach (and you have many good things to teach) are not like us. They can only consume bite-sized nuggets, and they like to connect ideas on their own. Brevity is your friend.
Even our dumbest fellow humans are smarter than we give credit. We are all essentially large language models that are parroting what we have been taught, or looking for patterns that we have learned. We all learn better when we think we’re doing it on our own, versus having someone else do it for us.
Kind of looks like a crazy peep too. Want to pop it into my mouth.
Yes, it is still relevant to today and I suggest anyone read it. As much for the shock about what they knew about the effects of advertising, even back then. Not sure how the science holds up today, but a good discussion about how television (and likely internet video) short-circuit parts of the brain necessary for critical thinking.
You still can. You probably have at least one atom from Carl in you by now.
drat. yeah, that’s a good possibility.
“Amusing Ourselves to Death” along with “Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television” are two books on media that dramatically changed the course of my life. Had I not read them, there is a good chance I would have stayed under the purview of modern media, and western society.
lol nice. fyi…you should be able to right click (or long press if on mobile) on an image and select copy and then paste it directly into the message window.
Glad to hear it and will do!
Peace, my friend
lol great catch! especially for the ladies…
All 5 of mine too.
