I’m not questioning that, I just am very worried how this will continue - especially after the orange toddler gets into office.
Fediverse is worse than Reddit. Mod abuse, admin abuse, disinformation, and people simping for literal terrorists.

Well, they also face quite some serious desertion issues at the moment too.
I find the combat & flight model the biggest weak point of it to be honest, and certainly light years away from that of Elite Dangerous.
They always only care when affected themselves. In Europe we’ll likely not even consider this specific case while pushing for an end to encryption and mass surveillance through backdoors.
The man mentions Chimera, Holo, and Bazzite, then proceeds to take the single most difficult route to installation, with the least amount of hardware support and functionality.
This is kind of par for the course for LTT. They somehow go the dumbest route in doing things and then wonder why things don’t work or break. I’d argue that most of the gaming related immutable distros should provide a decent out of the box experience, simply because that’s what they’re supposed to do. Maybe not quite as streamlined and fancy looking as SteamOS but functionality wise it should be fine and even more functional / flexible. Though, I’m sure he’ll then cry about additional ways to install things that are too complicated, like Distrobox, ignoring his own advice of just sticking to app stores like Discover, which somehow is only valid for SteamOS.
This is pretty much the only thing that gives me still the slightest sliver of hope, because if this succeeds, it would have massive potential to turn things around. And the chances for this to work out aren’t as far away as something like fusion.
It looks very Commodore but aside from the odd caps on the corners, which may just be custom placed there, the biggest oddity would be the straightly aligned keys on the edges. On the older Commodore boards that share the general design of this one, the two bottom rows are usually slightly more aligned towards the left, compared to the top rows. Atari had some similar keyboard layouts like this but they generally looked different. Maybe some modern retro inspired replica.
The tech levels within the silos are purposely kept low. They also forbid things like pulley systems and other stuff that could potentially give them an advantage.
Would’ve been nice if you would’ve stuck with show spoilers specifically btw…
Where did they “express glee over their corpses”?

More game devs should be like the devs of Marvel Rivals when it comes to emulation
The whole pvp / combat section was utterly confusing too. I don’t think I care about this at all. The beginning sounded great though, like Starfield without a plot and more focus on exploration and base building. Doesn’t sound like they have ship interiors though.
Freelancer is very arcadey and extremely dated.
Starmade had a lot of great ideas and potential, but then just got abandoned in a half assed and buggy state.
Any guess who “they” may refer to? Commanders? Generals? Politicians in the Kreml?
People who murder, rape, torture and plunder. They all made their choice, even if that choice was complacency. In the end, they became aggressors, and consequently taken out, as they should. The moment you cross the border into Ukraine, you’re an invader.
It behaves that way because we want it to behave that way. It’s a complete non-story.
That’s why they’re popular for chat roleplaying scenarios. They’re just good at bullshitting to make you believe they sound somewhat real. I doubt word prediction based “AI” could ever gain any sort of sentience and actually think for itself - assuming that’s even possible at all with tech. If it is, it’s going to be through different methods than this.
It’s not just that one unfortunately. It’s likely at around 100.000 deserters now, and half of that were from 2024 alone.
