My cat wants me to open the door for him. I humor him. So the other day he’s yowling like he’s got to poop and he’s turtling, and I jump out of my chair to rush him down the hall to the litter box. What does the little shit do? Jumps in my chair, lays down and farts at me.
I brought in another chair so I could work.
When my cat does this, I sit on her (gently).
I figure she does the same to me, so it’s fair play.
Sometimes you can pick up the kitty get a cuddle and a lap buddy, but sometimes this breeches every code of conduct and is the absolute disrespect.

I’m lucky my lil girl doesn’t steal my chair. She’d rather hang out in her hammock on the wall right next to my chair. In petting range.
Mine will take every opportunity to steal my chair. If they can’t sit on my chair they will sit on my lap or otherwise on my desk in front of me so I can’t see my monitor.
If I had my door shut, as soon as I open it they often come sprinting in and jump straight on it.
