TL;DR
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ will feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, making it the first phone with this chip. This new SoC promises improved performance and efficiency, including running games like Honor of Kings at 120 FPS.
The phone will also come with a large 6,200 mAh battery, though charging speed has been reduced to 90W from 120W in its predecessor. Additionally, the phone will have IP69 certification and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for enhanced durability.
The 5 year battery warranty is good to have. Hopefully it forces other OEMs to do the same.
Im thinking of getting a phone from this series for a relative, but I want to know if it’s gonna have an sd card support. Hope it does, it looks good.🥲
(It’s getting hard finding a proper xiaomi phone with a snapdragon chip and an sd card slot…)
It won’t. Higher midrange redmi phones do not support sdcard. I too am in the same boat for phones. Getting a good flagship grade phone with a good processor, updates support and sdcard support is tough. Samsung comes close but misses the mark by some.
Ughh, it’s frustrating… Hoping fairphone improves enough by the time I’ll need a phone again
So far, redmi note 14 pro and pro+ do not meet my needs :/
No sd card
Maybe Remdi note 14 4g (if such thing will exist) will meet my needs
If the US let them sell these here Samsung would be bankrupt in a matter of days.
I believe Xiaomi also lets you root their devices without doing an Asus on their customers
Yeah, samsung has been stagnating for a years now. Chinese manufacteres are bringing silicon carbon batteries and other innovations in the market. But, samsung is pulling an apple on us. I respect the update policy and feature rich software from samsung but we need better.
Faster charging, higher density batteries, higher performance snaldragon 7+ gen processors, etc.
Considering it’s called “Note” I find it curious they don’t mention anything about the screen.
But this SOC should be very good from what I’ve heard, and I love they’ve finally increased the battery to 6000mah and even added 200 extra.
IMO 6000mah should have been standard for bigger phones already years ago. It was a major feature for me on my old Moto Power G9 that came out 4 years ago.
It’s been very disappointing to have to go down to 5000mah on phones at more than twice the price, because 6000mah simply wasn’t available as an option. It’s laughable IMO that phones advertised as great for gaming are sold with only 5000mah batteries.
