crosses “post meme on lemmy” off list
I have so many lists
:-(
Make to-do list- All of the things I’m supposed to do
I am on a roll!
Half of it done! Take a week break now
Add another item to list
Im in this post and i dont like it.
But all of the stuff on my to do list has been slowly whittled down so im at least making progress. Thank you meth.
It’s your body, your choice. Get to choosin’.
The list I made for tomorrow, not actually tomorrow, but tomorrow 3 months ago
Three lists:
Mission Critical!!! - ah shit its here and you can’t stop it!
Future - ah shit, it’s coming right for me!
Super Future - shit happens man…
Stuff moves between the lists. Most of the time forward, sometimes backwards.
As I get older, I’ve learned it’s incredible how many things go away if you ignore them hard enough
I just got back from a run to the grocery to get the hot sauce I forgot when I bought chicken drums. It’s 2 days late but tonight we’re having some buffalo chicken! 💪
Non-zero days
May your days be filled with infinity.
It feels great because that means I’m done for the day and probably the day after too (it’s a recovery day)
Ah yes, the feeling if having done the thing. Priceless
I’m currently doing such a big the thing it feels like trying to eat the moon entirely 😭
I mean, you made and are using a checklist, you are on 🔥🔥🔥
On weekdays if I get one thing done outside of work I call that a win.
You do so much for other people. At work, at home, for your family, for your friends, for your community,
Don’t forget to put your oxygen mask on first before doing all that stuff. Peace
If I find my to do list in the app out of the 20+ I have installed and used over the years, that is…
My best strategy for dealing with this is leveraging my inability to deal with having any notifications whatsoever on my phone. Hence my strategy is:
- Anything that can’t be completed right away gets added to the task list
- All tasks get assigned a time, at which point a notification with the task appears
- I promised the list I would do it, and I want the notification bar to be clear - this is often enough of a push to get me to remember and do things.
A great aspect of having an ongoing checklist that you actually respect is that things written down on the list don’t have to be actively thought about - this calms my mind.
Bonus:
- If you can’t manage to do it, it’s fine to push it ahead to a later date, if the task allows for it. Learning to forgive myself has been immensely useful for coping with the everyday struggles
